7 questions to ask any telehealth clinic before you sign up
Not all clinics are built the same. Before you hand over your details, here are seven questions worth asking, of us, or anyone.
1. Is the first consult genuinely free, and what happens after?
Look for clinics that are upfront about every fee, not just the headline one.
2. Will I actually speak to a prescriber in real time?
Good care involves a real conversation. Quick, box-ticking consults are a red flag, and regulators agree.
3. Are you prescribing what's right for me, or what you sell?
Ask whether recommendations are based on suitability and effectiveness for you. At thc., they are.
4. How do you decide what to recommend?
You deserve to understand the reasoning, including the alternatives and the risks.
5. What does ongoing care look like?
Reviews and follow-ups matter. 'Set and forget' isn't care.
6. Can you work with my GP?
No referral should be required, but a good clinic can keep your GP in the loop if you want.
7. What are the fees and the cancellation policy?
